Training of Specialists
The Department of Interdisciplinary Social and Humanitarian Studies is a space at Metinvest Polytechnic Technical University where knowledge in the humanities is transformed into practical skills relevant to modern professions. It brings together specialists from various fields to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of people, society, and communication. The educational process integrates languages, philosophy, culture, sociology, history, and soft skills — everything that helps students think confidently, communicate clearly, and interact effectively. The Department develops universal competencies that remain relevant regardless of the chosen career path.
Practical Component
The Department of Interdisciplinary Social and Humanitarian Studies prepares professionals who are capable of working effectively with people and teams and addressing complex social challenges. Students develop not only knowledge but also communication, management, leadership, and flexible thinking skills. The educational process combines the humanities with practical soft skills and provides students with tools required in real professional environments. These approaches are implemented, in particular, within the Master’s programme “Project Management of Social and Psychological Support”, which is designed to address the current needs of society and the labour market.
Fundamental Knowledge
The primary mission of the Department of Interdisciplinary Social and Humanitarian Studies is to teach courses in the humanities and social sciences, including language, philosophy, history, sociology, psychology, and soft skills. The Department’s academic staff deliver the educational process through a combination of lectures, seminars, practical classes, and individual consultations, with a particular emphasis on the practical application of knowledge and the development of students’ communication and analytical skills.
