The Department of Production Automation, Electrical and Robotic Systems is a space where engineering ideas are transformed into innovative technological solutions, where highly qualified specialists are trained to design intelligent control systems, develop energy-efficient electrical engineering complexes, and create next-generation robotic systems.
We combine a strong fundamental engineering education with practical mastery of advanced technologies in the fields of industrial automation, electric power engineering, and robotics. The Department of Production Automation, Electrical and Robotic Systems prepares highly qualified specialists:
in automation and robotics, capable of designing intelligent production control systems, developing software for Industrial Automated Control Systems (IACS / SCADA-based process control systems), implementing robotic complexes, and ensuring the digital transformation of industrial processes based on modern Industry 4.0 technologies;
in electrical engineering and electric power engineering, capable of designing energy-efficient electrical networks and integrated electrical systems, implementing relay protection and electrical automation systems, and managing electromechanical complexes at energy and industrial enterprises.
The academic staff consists of highly qualified professionals who combine academic expertise with practical experience and actively support research activities in cooperation with industrial partners to advance cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions.

The primary mission of the Department of Production Automation, Electrical and Robotic Systems is to prepare multi-competent specialists and experts in the fields of industrial automation, electrical engineering, and robotics who are capable of systemic engineering thinking, generating technological innovations in their professional activities, and mastering the full development cycle of complex technical systems — from concept to implementation.

The educational process and research activities of the Department are focused on the following areas
design and implementation of intelligent automation systems for technological processes based on the Industry 4.0 concept;
development of energy-efficient electrical engineering complexes and relay protection systems for enterprises in the energy sector;
creation of next-generation robotic and mechatronic systems using artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies.
The Department provides students with internship and practical training opportunities at enterprises of the Metinvest Group, offering valuable experience in real industrial environments and enabling the practical application of acquired knowledge to current engineering challenges.
