Training of Specialists
The Department of Applied Economics, Business Engineering and Project Management is an educational and innovation-driven community that develops the knowledge and skills of highly qualified professionals in management and economics who are in demand in the labour market and capable of increasing business value through economically sound management decisions in an uncertain environment. We aim to develop economic and managerial competencies based on value-oriented thinking combined with analytical and digital thinking and well-developed soft skills.
Practical Component
The Department of Applied Economics, Business Engineering and Project Management prepares highly qualified specialists:
- in management, capable of ensuring the strategic development of an enterprise (organisation) through process- and project-based management of the economic performance of a business entity, industry, and the national economy;
- in economics, capable of driving the digital transformation of traditional business processes and applying new technologies to improve business operational efficiency.
Fundamental Knowledge
The primary mission of the Department of Applied Economics, Business Engineering and Project Management is to prepare multi-competent specialists and experts in economics and management who are capable of strategic thinking and generating innovative solutions in their professional activities and who possess the full range of CDIO (Conceive — Design — Implement — Operate) competencies. Our graduates are architects of innovative processes in economics and management, ready to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing external environment and global trends.
The educational process and research activities of the Department focus on the following areas:
- business value management through improving the operational efficiency of business processes and identifying its sources;
- development of project management methodology for managing change in the process of strategic development of an enterprise (organisation);
- analytical methodologies and management technologies in behavioural and digital economics.
